Gu Mei Qun showed us how to make two teapots. This was the traditional form. It is constructed out of slabs entirely. The form was round. The process reminds me of working with wood. The tools that the Yixing teapotter uses are very important. Gu Mei Qun said that the best tools are made by craftsmen who make good teapots. She provided us with tools all made by her husband. They were great.
