There were many pots that needed to be loaded and fired. Here are some more shots of the roof tiles. This water vessel in the foreground has already been fired. The results are a wonderful natural look from the flame but a glaze is put on the pot in the green stage. This glaze maturation can bee seen by the advanced eye during the firing. This is the key factor in moving to the next firing portal up the slope of the kiln. I don't want to get ahead of myself so let's see the loading before I talk more about the firing.
