The stoking continued on into the night and the next day totally 48 hours. I was told that the temperature was taken to cone 10 around 1300 celsius. None the less, it was a wonderful experience that few foreigners have seen, and through West Virginia University and the generousity of China with their willingness to exchange 1000's of years of ceramic knowledge students are able to learn amazing things.
