After touring around town looking at markets we all were ready to get back to Sanboa to work with more of the porcelain. I really feel that this is a special kaolin. It is actually the finest, strongest, whitest, hardest, most high firing, translucent porcelain in the world. Many cultures have sought after it and even tried to emulate. Some have come close, but none have been able to duplicate the real thing. I would like to take you on a journey that is just right outside of the studio gate where we work every day. The finest clay in the world is mined and processed up the road from Sanboa, as it has been for about 900 years, wow, I know.
