The potters here were eager to show us their techniques. This gentleman has been making pots this way for most of his life. The coil building technique is a great way to make a pot. The clay is all locally dug and there are too many impurities within it to be wheel thrown. I think if you tried to throw it you would only find small rock particles that would surely disappoint the thrower.
