We rolled in late to our destination, Jingdezhen Ceramic Intsitute. This is a view out of my dormitory window at about Sunrise. Our sleeping schedules were all messed up form the time changes and the journey so we stayed awake trying to adjust our bodies to some sense of normal. The area we are in is flat land leading up to wonderful sweeping mountains in all directions. There is a lot of water in this region and fertile farm land, not to mention the epicenter for ceramics and porcelain. From what I have gathered Jingdezhen was deemed the ceramic capital by the Emporer in the Song Dynasty 960-1279. Ever since it has seen some of the best artists in ceramics and painting that China has had to offer. Art is everywhere.
